Common questions
How do I swing?
Flick up from the bottom of the screen as the pitch reaches the plate. Your timing sets how well you hit it, the angle of the flick sets where the ball goes, and a harder flick sends it farther. To take a pitch, don't flick. The first time you play, a short practice game walks you through it.
How do I run the bases?
After you hit the ball, flick toward a base to send a runner. Flick again to run faster. Tap a runner to send them back.
How does a game end?
A game is three innings. You win by passing the other team's target score. If you tie it, you play a bonus inning, and your first run wins.
Does Thumb Slugger have ads?
Yes. Thumb Slugger has ads, including rewarded ads you can choose to watch for coins.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account and no login.
Will I lose my progress if I delete the game?
Progress and coins are stored on your device, so deleting the game removes them. Your scores and achievements on Game Center or Play Games stay with Apple or Google.
How do I sign in to Game Center or Play Games?
Signing in is optional. The game starts the sign-in after the consent step, when you aren't in the middle of a game. You can also tap the trophy button on the home screen to see the leaderboards and achievements. If you cancel the sign-in, the button is hidden until you open the app again.
I don't see any ads.
A brand-new game can take a little while to get ads. Where Google asks for consent, ads also wait for your answer. Rewarded ads only show up when an ad is ready.
Is Thumb Slugger suitable for children?
Thumb Slugger isn't made for young children. There's no chat and no account, but it has ads, and they aren't set up for kids. The privacy policy has the details.
