What it is

Skip rocks past logs and off ramps.

See how far one good throw can go. The lakes loop into laps that get harder and pay more coins.

Throw

Pull down from low on either side of the screen. A marker sweeps the bar at the top. Flick up when it's on the gold, and a Perfect throw plays in slow motion. The gold gets smaller and the marker gets faster as you go.

Skip

Keep your thumb down to steer, in the air and on the water. Each time the stone touches down, a ring closes around it. Tap on gold for a Perfect skip, white for Good, gray for Sloppy. Miss the tap and it sinks. Coins unlock odd things to skip instead of a stone, including a flip flop.

Course

Steer around rocks and logs. Hit a ramp for a super skip, or fly through the fire hoop for a fire boost. Lily pads hold power ups: Feather, Magnet, Double, and Extra Stone. Grab the arcs of coins and watch for the bell buoy. Your stars are the stones you have left. Coins unlock new throwers.

Skippers and throwers

Skippers

Start with a river stone. Then skip just about anything. Coins from bounces, Perfects, and sea glass unlock 9 more skippers, including Slate, a Clam Shell, a Lost Flip Flop, an Old 45, Someone's Phone, and The Throne. Make 12 skips in one throw to earn the Golden Skipper.
