Sliceball 4.2.1: three new stacks and a shop that fits
4.2.1 is out on both stores. Google Play had it on the 22nd and the App Store approved it today. It's a small update: the shop, plus fixes for a few things that were off in 4.2.
Three new stacks
The Slices tab has playing cards at 350 cash, game cartridges at 500 and vinyl records at 750. They slice exactly like the others, and each has its own red danger layer, so you can still read the stack at a glance.
The shop fits the screen
On iPad, the third row of the shop sat underneath the Close button and could take your tap when you meant to close. That was live in 4.2. The grid now stops above the button and anything past it scrolls. The item icons fill their cards properly, and each item's name sits right above its price.
The chair behind the table
Once a stack got tall, from around level 15, the camera rose with it far enough that the chair in the background was cut in half. The camera sees further back now, and the chair stays whole.
A smoother intro
On Android the first frame of the lightning strike took about 300 ms on every launch, so the intro visibly hitched right at the bolt. On iPhone the bolt dropped in small jumps. Both are fixed.
The eyeball
The eyeball skin has a new round iris on a plain white eye, and it keeps looking at you while the ball tumbles. The red veins are gone.
That's it for this one. If anything isn't working, the support page comes straight to me. If you're enjoying the new stacks, a quick rating on the store would really help me out.
